# AI Slop Is Killing Your Content Strategy: How to Create Content People Actually Trust

Open any industry blog roll today and you'll notice something. Everything sounds the same. Same structure, same generic tips, same hollow confidence. That's AI slop — mass-produced content churned out by prompting a model and hitting publish, with zero human judgment in between.

And here's the problem: everyone can spot it now. Readers can. Google can. Even AI models training on "authoritative" content are starting to deprioritize it.

The irony is thick. Brands rushed to use AI for scale, and in doing so, made their content indistinguishable from a thousand competitors doing the exact same thing. Volume went up. Trust went down.

So what actually works in an AI-saturated content world?

Real experience, visibly present. Content that shows someone has actually done the thing — handled the client, run the campaign, made the mistake — reads completely differently from content that's summarizing what experience should sound like.

Specific over generic. "5 Tips for Better Ads" is slop. "Why we killed our best-performing ad set last month, and what replaced it" is a story only you can tell.

A point of view. Slop never disagrees with anything. It never takes a side. The content people trust today is willing to say "this popular strategy is actually overrated, and here's why."

AI can absolutely help you write faster. But it can't replace the judgment, the specific experience, or the opinion that makes content worth reading in the first place.

The brands winning right now aren't avoiding AI. They're refusing to let it think for them.
